Laboratory Technician - Leicestershire
An excellent opportunity for somebody looking for their first or second laboratory based role. This large and successful company require a Laboratory Technician to join their existing team. The ideal applicant will have academic lab based experience or possibly commercial laboratory based experience and a desire to progress in microbiology. The role will initially involve weighing out media, preparing solutions, logging, incubating and processing samples and possibly some associated administrative work.
In the role you will gain an understanding of microbiology in a food manufacturing environment, the processes and standards adhered to in an accredited lab and go on to learn about and encounter various other areas of microbiology including pathogen identification etc. The role involves working Monday to Friday and could involve 7 or 8 am starts with occasional Saturday cover.
