Assistant Accountant
Due to continual expansion our client is seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant.
You will be required to assist in the efficient management of all accountancy functions, ensuring timely, effective and accurate preparation of all company financial information, including periodic management accounts.
Reporting directly to the Senior Management Accountant duties will include: - Responsibility for monthly management accounting and review for a specified portfolio - Full responsibility for the financial ledgers of the specified portfolio; including Trial Balance, Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow - Preparation of standardised year-end audit packs - Preparation and input of accurate periodic accruals and prepayments for inclusion in both management accounts and statutory accounts - Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Registers, calculation of depreciation and review of capital expenditure authorisations - Reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts - Process of any journals required including Accruals, Prepayments, petty cash transactions and year end adjustments. - Maintenance, review and reconciliation of cash books - Through review of both coding and approval of invoices prior to transfer to nominal ledger
The successful applicant will have experience of the above duties, preferably form within a similar role.
