Accounting Manager
Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to join in a pivotal role within the organisation. Reporting directly to senior management at director level you will be expected to provide a full fund accounting service including production of year end accounts, quarterly reports and accounts and ad-hoc reports and services.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all functions are adequately monitored and controlled and be involved in the budgeting and estimating of annual expenditure. The role will also involve liaising with external and internal auditors, along with clients and their financial bodies and also with relevant operational teams, to ensure that the relevant financial impact of administration processing is properly and accurately reflected within the monthly accounts and returns.
Heading up a team of 20, staff development and supervision will also form a key part of the role and you will be expected to help oversee the training and appraisal of team members. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to train and manage a team to varying demands and workloads and have a proven record of accuracy and attention to detail, along with a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
The successful applicant will ideally be qualified to ACCA, ACA or CIMA level, however candidates qualified by experience will also be considered if they have the required level of experience. You will have the ability to cope under pressure whilst meeting strict deadlines. You will require excellent communication and management skills with a confident and professional manner to establish and develop relationships with key clients both internally and externally.
