Credit Analyst
A high profile organisation is seeking to recruit a Credit Analyst to it's team. Based within Darlington you will have responsibility for providing risk management support to the sales team.
A varied role, there will be an emphasis placed on strong analytical skills combined with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external contacts. Duties to include:
- In-depth risk assessment of new and existing clients including detailed analysis of statutory accounts and other financial statements
- Working closely with Sales Managers to advise on appropriate levels of credit exposure and suggesting creative ways to maximise sales potential within these limits.
- Responsibility for monitoring your own ledgers and identifying changes in risk status as determined by both internal and external information
- Advise and assist on the management of problematic accounts.
- Report regularly to management on all risk situations.
The successful applicant will have an analytical and focused approach to tasks and must be able to demonstrate a logical and enquiring mind, with close attention to detail. You must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
You will be able to communicate confidently at all levels with a strong team building approach, yet able to work on own initiative.
The ideal candidate will ideally have a in financial/risk analysis, although as training will be given consideration will also be given to candidates able to demonstrate the necessary personal qualities. An understanding of Data Protection and Insolvency Legislation would be an advantage.
