HR Officer
A highly reputable client based in Darlington requires an HR Officer to coordinate personnel activities.
Reporting to the Operations Director and HR Manager you will be working for a highly successful and dynamic organisation within a supportive working environment. Responsibilities will include: - Collating payroll information (overtime, upgrades, deductions, etc.) and forwarding to Central Office for processing. - Monitoring absence, arranging investigations, referral of long-term sick to Occupational Health, arranging “Return to Work Interview” paperwork, report absence statistics to Senior Management Team - Arranging training and ensuring training records are produced and recorded appropriately - Recruitment – advertising, intranet, agencies, intranet, paperwork, medicals, legislation - Coordinating appraisals and ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly and actions followed-up - Coordinating disciplinary and grievances – procedure, paperwork, follow-up dates, recording, etc - Pensions administration - Keeping up to date on internal and government HR policies and procedures - Counselling managers and employees on HR related issues, policies and procedures (i.e.: how to handle performance issues, conflicts, etc.) - Month end reporting and general HR administration • Any other HR related projects as requested by the Senior Management team
The successful applicant will ideally have a formal HR qualification and experience of working in a unionised and busy HR environment. However, consideration of candidates with the appropriate background and experience will be given. You will be computer literate including word, excel, payroll/HR Software and have payroll knowledge / experience.
You will be a multi tasker, methodical, conscientious worker and be capable of working with a high level of confidentiality. You will be able to work without supervision and to establish credibility with people at all levels.
