IT Service Desk Analyst
Due to continual expansion, a high profile organisation is seeking to recruit an additional IT Service Desk Analyst to it's IT Support Team.
Dealing with IT issues at branch level, the purpose of the role is log, process and resolve support calls in the appropriate manner. You will be responsible for: - Accurately logging calls received by e-mail in the IT Service Desk database - Answering phone calls received from the user base and accurately logging, updating or providing users with updates on their issues - Quickly ascertaining if issues can be resolved there and then or if they need either scheduling or referring on internally or to an external support partner - Assigning calls to themselves in addition to those allocated to them - Progressing and resolving outstanding calls and updating calls in the IT Service Desk database to reflect call progress, work performed and updates received - Advising on and resolving issues personally whenever possible, either by remotely connecting to equipment or by visualising situations and guiding users - Providing on-site responses where required to requests received by e-mail and telephone - Liaising with users, colleagues and support partners to ensure optimum progression and satisfactory resolution of calls - Involvement in provisioning, preventative maintenance, system improvement and other departmental projects as and when required - Various administration tasks required and any other ad-hoc duties commensurate with the skills and experience of the post holder
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work under pressure whilst delivering a high standard of service to users. An excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications is vital and previous experience of working in a similar role would be an advantage, as would familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange and SharePoint systems and knowledge of specialist applications.
